Responsibilities: - Provides Technical expertise for network and physical security monitoring devices by upgrading and maintaining IP based security servers and end point devices. Troubleshoots issues by providing Tier 2 technical support for the NCEL Security Division.
- Ensures continuous uptime and optimal performance of CCTV and Access Control systems through active monitoring, regular maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues and performing software and firmware updates.
- Serves as systems administrator by developing and configuring IP addresses; creating detailed network diagrams; and maintaining security system user accounts and endpoint devices.
- Conducts regular site visits to each of the NCEL offices to perform physical inspections of all security devices ensuring full functionality. Works with office staff to resolve any security issues/concerns.
- Manages the creation and programming of badge access for employees, vendors, and contractors. Creates and maintains accurate access lists by preforming regular reviews of the access control system and the active accounts/profiles.
- Manages and maintains security network monitoring application software.
- Evaluates new technologies and processes that enhance security infrastructure. Keeps pace with the latest Physical Security Standards (ONVI, PSIA, NIST, etc.).
Requirements: - Knowledge of networking design and protocols. (ex.OSI model).
- Knowledge of reading complex wiring schematics and diagrams.
- Knowledge of servers and associated Operating Systems.
- Knowledge of IP based access control and camera systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Word, and Excel.
- Bachelor's degree or 3 years of related experience.
- CompTIA Security+ (preferred)
- CompTIA Network+ (preferred)
- Valid State Driver's License and good driving record
Hiring Rate: $61,804 (this exempt position will be filled at or near the posted salary)
