Summary
ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a Security Systems Analyst at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. NRG Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement. We are a one-of-a-kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park. NRG Center (one million+ sq. ft. Convention Center), NRG Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), NRG Astrodome ("The" Astrodome), and NRG Arena. We are seeking a unique Security Systems Analyst to join our Technical Services team. Under direct supervision, the Analyst will manage, deploy, integrate, and maintain the security systems and network infrastructure, while also providing technical support during daily operations and events. This role serves as a liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. The Analyst will collaborate with the ASM security team to ensure all security, public safety, and communication systems are operational to support venue activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following:
• Maintain and oversee the security department's various systems, including software, hardware devices, network infrastructure, data storage, and communication devices. Managed equipment includes security cameras, access control readers, cabling, video management systems, security data storage area networks, video analytics servers, radio communications, UPS power backups, event management systems, video displays, end-user workstations, VOIP phones, and incident reporting software and devices.
• Monitoring the performance and reliability of the security infrastructure is essential to ensure that all systems function properly. This includes performing real-time monitoring, providing reports with detailed analyses of overall system health, identifying and resolving any system-critical issues, and delivering post-incident reporting to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with different on-premises tenants to meet any changes in their security needs and requirements.
• Assist operators with their daily system needs and support any necessary configuration changes for staff to perform their duties.
• Maintain an updated inventory of all security infrastructure.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of cameras, access control, security workstation hardware, software products, and other necessary security services needed to support day-to-day operations and event security.
• Investigate security breaches/unauthorized access and provide detailed reporting and forensic data.
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly/annual checklists centered around ensuring the reliability and security of the security network and system infrastructure, providing detailed reports and insights into any areas of concern that need improvement.
• Provide end-user support during weekends, holidays, and nights for large events.
• Available on-call 24/7 during events to address any technical support calls or help desk tickets.
• Participate in and ensure compliance with cybersecurity assessments performed by various organizations and government agencies.
• Work with various security vendors to ensure quality of service meets expected levels.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, an individual must be capable of performing each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements outlined below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed.
• Maintenance of and expertise in all security systems and software necessary to perform duties (access control, camera systems, IMS, networking infrastructure, end-user workstations (Windows OS, Mac, Linux), servers and virtual machines, storage area networks, radio communications and mobile device hardware, video display walls, and various other event / venue-specific technologies).
• Perform assessments and provide reports to the Security Manager and others as needed.
• Provide reports on infrastructure performance and reliability, identifying issues and prioritizing in order of system-criticality, and recommend resolution measures to MIS Manager and relevant staff.
• Train operators and other personnel on the controls for security cameras and video walls, video recall and analytics services, access control management, HID card configuration, incident management software (IMS) setup and operation, and various other systems that support the security department's needs.
Preferred Technical Skills
• A minimum of 3 years of security system experience is preferred.
• Experience with any or all the following:
Ø Access Control Systems
Ø Genetec
Ø HID Devices
• Strong working knowledge of all aspects of physical security and techniques.
Computer Skills
• Extensive knowledge of IT systems, including but not limited to PC/Mac hardware components, operating systems, software, network switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Strong working knowledge of IP DVR, networking, attached storage, database (SQL), NAS, SAN
Other Qualifications
• Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
• Independent problem-solving and ability to prioritize effectively.
