Security Specialist Watermark is seeking an experienced Security Specialist to provide comprehensive security support for a customer's facility and operations. The ideal candidate is passionate about security, demonstrates strong integrity and ethics, and excels in communication and attention to detail. This role requires expertise in physical, industrial, and personnel security, ensuring the protection of Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and Special Access Program (SAP) activities while maintaining compliance with security policies and procedures. Responsibilities include Document & Data Security Review and classify incoming and outgoing correspondence, ensuring proper security markings and compliance. Maintain and update a document accountability database, tracking classified materials, mail, receipts, and related records. Handle the secure processing, transfer, reproduction, and destruction of classified materials, including magnetic media and electronic data files. Facility & Access Control Process and manage inbound and outbound visit authorization requests, visitor logs, and facility access control badges. Conduct entry and exit inspections, enforce security procedures, and support access control system maintenance. Escort visitors within the facility and ensure compliance with security protocols. Personnel Security & Clearance Management Input and update personnel security data in DISS, JPAS, and JADE, ensuring accuracy in billets, quotas, and personnel records. Oversee personnel security files, process security clearances, and monitor clearance status in coordination with government personnel. Process Program Access Requests (PARs) and Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires to verify eligibility. Compliance & Security Operations Assist in security awareness and education initiatives, enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Participate in Air Force SAP security compliance inspections and audits for government and industry partners. Implement and maintain Top Secret material control, handling classified mail, faxes, courier packages, and related documentation. Administrative & Additional Responsibilities Maintain administrative logs for document control, personnel security, and facility access functions. Perform security indoctrinations and provide general administrative support as directed. Execute additional duties as assigned. Experience Requirements: 5-7 years related experience Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years) Certification Requirements: Must complete the DoD SAPCO approved SAPNP training (if performing personnel security functions) Security Clearance Requirements: Current Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information Willingness to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph Other requirements: Reports to a physical location which occasionally requires the ability to traverse between buildings May require sedentary work at least 50% of the time Ability to manage stress with a high degree of maturity/professionalism Demonstrated critical thinking and leadership skills and the ability to work well with others Effective verbal and written communication skills Candidate should possess 2+ years of Special Access Program (SAP) experienceWatermark provides salary ranges with job postings in states where it is legally required; any other salary ranges associated with our postings are third party estimates and may not be an accurate reflection of Watermark's total compensation package.
