Duties You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Commander, U.S. SECOND Fleet (COMSECONDFLT), Intelligence Department, Norfolk, VA. You will protect sensitive or classified information, personnel, facilities, resources, processes, or other sensitive materials. You will research and provide guidance in interpreting security policies and regulations. You will Identify and evaluate new and/or revised policy changes, trends, issues, and advises senior level officials on their impact as it pertains to a wide range of security disciplines. You will provide support to the Command in the coordination and preparation of national disclosure policy inputs and responses to inquiries and reports. You will collect, analyze, and interpret intelligence information from various sources to produce comprehensive reports that assess threats, identify trends and provide insight to upper management within the context of national security. Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience applying principles, methods, tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing projects and resources, including technical performance. Experience applying knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools used for risk assessment and mitigation, including assessment of failures and their consequences.
Experience conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Experience utilizing effective modes to reinforce message retention. Experience gathering, organizing and maintaining information utilizing information management systems and determining importance and accuracy.
Experience making well-informed, effective, and timely decisions, with limited or vast data or solutions and perceives the impact and implications of decisions. Experience analyzing critically, synthesizing patterns among divers systems and looking at interdependencies. Experience gauging unintended consequences. Experience integrating and weighing situational constraints, risks, and rewards.
