Security Operations Analyst
Location: Hybrid (onsite 2-3 days/week)
Salary: Up to $65,000
Summary:
The Security Operations Analyst oversees the daily operations and performance of physical security systems to ensure a safe and secure environment. This role focuses on system innovation, process improvements, and technology integration to support organizational safety objectives and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor all physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, alarm systems, visitor management, and premise control.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for physical security technologies, leading operations, system improvements, integrations, training, and automation initiatives.
- Research emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance the physical security infrastructure.
- Develop, update, and maintain security system procedures to ensure effective incident management and system performance.
- Coordinate troubleshooting activities and vendor communications for system issues and enhancements.
- Manage access credentials, door codes, and video requests; ensure access is granted per policy and support investigations when necessary.
- Maintain and monitor security system coverage, video quality standards, and reporting requirements.
- Track and resolve security-related work orders using CMMS or alternate communication channels.
- Maintain inventory of keys, furniture access points, and related assets.
- Oversee training and compliance for emergency preparedness, including CPR, AED, evacuation, and response plans.
- Support audit requirements and documentation related to physical security operations.
- Monitor physical security budgets and recommend system upgrades based on lifecycle and performance.
- Remain on-call when required, with a response window of 20 minutes by phone and 2 hours in person.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience in physical security operations, including monitoring and responding to incidents.
- Certifications such as APP, CPP, PSP, or other ASIS-accredited credentials are preferred or must be obtained within the required timeframe.
Technical Knowledge:
- Hands-on experience with access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, and alarm systems.
