R- Description Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Security Monitor who is responsible for supporting physical security operations by conducting monitoring and escort duties in secured environments. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that access to cleared areas is controlled and that maintenance, inspection, and other support personnel are properly escorted in accordance with established security protocols. The Security Monitor may also assist with emergency response coordination, collection of security metrics, and support for facility operations during outages or unusual events. Primary Responsibilities: Serve as a security escort for personnel performing maintenance, inspections, or other activities in cleared or restricted areas.
Monitor access control points and enforce security protocols to prevent unauthorized access.
Collect and record data from security devices and systems as directed (e.g., badge readers, surveillance systems).
Assist in responding to security incidents and direct personnel during emergencies in accordance with established procedures.
Support facility management teams during power outages, equipment failures, or other critical events.
Report and document any suspicious behavior, safety violations, or security breaches.
Follow and enforce all site-specific and federal security requirements, including those related to classified areas or sensitive operations. Basic Qualifications TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
High school diploma or equivalent.
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions, technical drawings, schematics, or diagrams.
Experience using hand and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, drills, soldering irons).
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly tasks.
Familiarity with safety protocols and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Basic understanding of quality control and inspection practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team under moderate supervision. Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience in electromechanical or precision assembly.
Proficiency with measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Experience with soldering, wiring, or working from wiring diagrams and schematics.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices or process improvement techniques.
Exposure to machine or equipment assembly in a production line environment.
Understanding of quality assurance systems and documentation processes.
Experience with ERP or manufacturing software systems for tracking parts or workflow.
Completion of a technical training program or coursework in manufacturing, electronics, or mechanical systems. EC-DAS Original Posting: June 9, 2025
