The Security Engineer is responsible for supporting security administration, compliance, and audits of Meshify's software platforms while ensuring the integrity of logical security across all computer-based systems and networks. This role requires technical expertise in cloud security, DevOps practices, and cybersecurity frameworks. Key responsibilities include managing the ticket support queue, software testing, as well as developing and maintaining secure, scalable cloud infrastructures. The Security Engineer will enforce security policies, conduct security reviews of application code, logs, and architecture, and collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to enhance platform security. Additionally, this role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls, troubleshooting security tools and cloud environments, and participating in the Meshify on-call rotation to support incident response and security operations.

Education and Experience
  • Associate's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field; an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Cybersecurity is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in IT administration
  • 2+ years of experience with Docker, AWS and Git CI/CD
  • Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or similar certification is desired
Knowledge and Skills
  • Experience with ticketing systems and responding to support issues
  • Hands on Kubernetes and CircleCI experience
  • Experience with SOC 2 audits
  • Secure SaaS administration knowledge
  • Demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
