Job Number: R Security Engineer, Senior The Opportunity: Lead our transformation to an engineering-centric security operations model. As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll architect the systems and pipelines that enable our clients to detect, investigate, and resp ond to security events at scale-all through code. We're not building a traditional SOC with analysts watching dashboards, we're building automated security operations powered by engineering. You'll design resilient, cloud-native security infrastructure that evolves with our business, mentor junior engineers in security engineering principles, and drive technical initiatives that fundamentally improve our security posture. Join us. The world can't wait. You Have: 7+ years of experience with security operations centers
5+ years of experience using Go programming for developing high-performance security microservices
5+ years of experience performing complex automation and security tooling using Python
5+ years of experience with Git or GitHub Enterprise for managing complex, multi-contributor security projects
5+ years of experience implementing message brokers, such as Kafka, SNS or SQS, or Pub or Sub, in large-scale security pipelines
Knowledge of AWS security architecture and services across multiple accounts and regions
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have: Experience leading security engineering initiatives and mentoring junior engineers
Experience designing and implementing distributed security monitoring systems at scale
Experience with observability platforms and security telemetry processing
Experience with Zero T rus t implementation in cloud-native environments
Experience contributing to the security engineering community or significant open-source work
Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
