JOB OVERVIEW: This role is required to implement security policies and procedures, monitor network and system security, and evaluate security risks.
Analyzes security threats, assesses security vulnerabilities, recommends and implements security solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Implement security policies and procedures to protect Wire 3 systems and data.
- Monitor systems and network for security threats, investigating and mitigating potential risks.
- Assess security vulnerabilities, recommend, and implement appropriate security solutions.
- Collaborate with Wire 3 IT teams to enhance system security posture.
- Manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions.
- Apply current and emerging security solutions to meet organizational, industry, and regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES: - Strong knowledge of IT security strategies and the ability to apply them to projects and initiatives.
- Familiarity with best practices in information security procedures and controls.
- Experience with defense-in-depth strategies, trust levels, system access privileges, and permissions.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage with individuals at all levels of the company and external business contacts.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently in a complex and dynamic team environment.
- One or more security certifications preferred (CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, GISF, GSEC, or similar).
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field OR an Associate Degree in an information security-related field with four years of progressive experience in an IT enterprise system or security setting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to travel occasionally for security assessments, team meetings, or industry events.
