ARS is seeking a detail-oriented Security Administration Specialist to manage and implement information protection, personnel security, and industrial security requirements for our defense innovation programs. Responsibilities include: Provide comprehensive security administration support including information protection, personnel security, and industrial security
Process and maintain security clearance documentation through Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
Manage visit requests and personnel access to secure facilities and information systems
Prepare and process DD Form 254 (Contract Security Classification Specification) for contractor engagements
Assist in developing and updating security classification guides for programs
Support the proper handling, storage, and protection of classified materials
Monitor classified information systems and ensure proper security controls
Conduct security education and awareness training for personnel
Process and track security investigations and reinvestigations
Execute annual security self-inspection programs and compliance monitoring
Maintain security databases and records in accordance with government requirements
Support Operations Security (OPSEC) program implementation
Assist with security incident reporting, investigation, and resolution
Coordinate with facility security officers and government security representatives
Process foreign travel requests in accordance with security requirements
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements: Must be a US citizen
Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience in DoD or federal government security administration
Knowledge of DoD personnel security policies and procedures
Experience with DISS or similar security management systems
Familiarity with classified information handling procedures and requirements
Understanding of industrial security requirements under NISPOM
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Experience preparing security documentation and reports
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security database applications
Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance
Knowledge of security self-inspection and compliance processes
Desired Qualifications: ISP certification or formal security administration training
Experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Background in defense contracting or acquisition security
Knowledge of security classification guides and derivative classification
Experience with electronic security systems or classified networks
Understanding of personnel vetting and adjudication processes
Background in security education and awareness training
Experience with security incident management
Familiarity with SCIF or other secure facility requirements
Knowledge of foreign disclosure and technical information security
