Job Title: Secretary to the Director - Continuous Improvement
Reports to: Executive Director of Continuous Improvement
Dept/School: Continuous Improvement / Central Administration Office
Work Year: 226 days
Base Salary: $37,875 Actual salary will be calculated based on experience
PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Ensure efficient operation of the Continuous Improvement Department and provide direct support of the Federal Program budgets, records, reports, and services.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Some college preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient skills in keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance skills
Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, templates, and for word processing
Strong accounting principles with attention to detail
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Assume responsibility for acquiring the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for fulfilling duties as a Federal Programs assistant.
Assist in interpreting laws relating to Federal Program expenses and services.
Serve as the financial contact between Title I campuses, the Finance Department, and the Continuous Improvement Department.
Perform monthly reviews of expenditures and provide a status report to administrator(s).
Maintain records on budget requests, financial reports, and all required documentation.
Prepare written correspondence, forms, schedules, or reports using a computer.
Schedule meetings and appointments, including training rooms, and maintain calendars for the Director(s).
Maintain physical and computerized files.
Receive, store, and issue supplies and equipment.
Manage the reception desk based on departmental need.
Maintain confidentiality.
OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED:

Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer. Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Must be able to lift 25 lbs and move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other equipment.
