Qualifications 1. High School Diploma

Reports to:Supervisor of Special Services
Job Goal: To carry out all secretarial and clerical duties necessary for the smooth and efficient operation of the Child Study Team office.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: - Receives and routes incoming calls and correspondence.
- Places and receives telephone calls and distributes messages as appropriate to Supervisors and CST members.
- Types letters, records, reports, memos, monthly statements, etc., from rough drafts or corrected copy and proofreads for accuracy before release.
- Maintains an efficient filing system, as well as a set of locked confidential files.
- Maintains confidentiality of appropriate records.
- Maintains student information in data base including transfer information in the SIS.
- Maintain a schedule of appointments for the Supervisor of Special Services and makes arrangements for conferences and interviews, as requested.
- Corresponds with districts to facilitate programming for transfer students; requests records; sends records; etc.
- Prepares requisitions as requested by the Supervisor of Special Services and monitors their progress through completion
- Keeps the Supervisor of Special Services apprised of all child study team activities, staffings, reports, and enrollment in each class for children with disabilities.
- Fulfills child study team member requests as directed by the Supervisor of Special Services.
- Schedules IEP, reevaluation, staffing, and annual review meetings as required.
- Attend, record, and transcribe CST meeting minutes.
- Prepares NJ Smart Special Education submission information
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor of Special Services.
Employment Conditions: Contract year: Twelve Months (July 1 thru June 30)
