Overall Summary:
Assist with the day-to-day running of the Dean's Office
Duties and Principal Responsibilities:
• Serves as initial face-to-face and telephone contact point for students, faculty members and outside visitors
• Each semester collects Outside Additional Professional Activities forms, syllabi, and any other required documents or materials
• Assist students/faculty/staff in obtaining documentation in connection with student registrations, change of grades, VISA forms, permission codes, etc.
• Assist with College events
• Maintain website for all departments within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
• Assist with department meetings, prepare agendas, handouts and related paperwork
• Prepare and process required electronic filing of workloads, each semester
• Assist in organizing Commencement, Awards and other events, as needed
• Assist in scheduling appointments, typing up correspondence
• Facilitate and assist with all aspects of the hiring process for adjunct faculty
• Make appointments and schedule meetings as requested
• Responsible for the ordering of office supplies and maintaining inventory
• Responsible for internal and external mail
• Maintains the College's lists including telephone list, room list, adjunct faculty list, etc.
• Other duties as required by the Dean
Training, Skills, Knowledge, Experience:
Candidate must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and computer skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Zoom Experience working in a professional environment.
