Primary Purpose: Provide secretarial assistance and office management for the principal
Major Duties and Responsibilities: - Type all correspondence, bulletins, forms, etc.
- Serve as receptionist: setting up appointments, taking messages, etc.
- Set up and maintain all files including staff information cards.
- Answer telephone and intercom.
- Operate and help maintain all office machines.
- Act as financial clerk if necessary.
- Order office/classroom supplies. Receive, distribute, and record all supplies received from warehouse requisitions or purchase orders.
- Handle all appointments for principal, keep up-to-date calendar on meetings, schoolactivities, holidays, and building use.
- Take dictation/assist in composing outgoing correspondence.
- Keep up-to-date on District and campus rules and regulations, requirements dealing with budget, personnel, and administration.
- Assist students and teachers when required.
- Assist in coordination of office management.
Equipment Used: Personal computer, typewriter, printer, copier, calculator, and fax machine.
Working Conditions: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of computer.
