As a PAYROLL SYSTEMS PROJECT CONSULTANT, you will:
- Manage system-based projects initiated by Payroll and act as Payroll subject matter expert for projects initiated by other departments.
- Lead the development of business requirements and assist with the definition of system design.
- Perform end-user testing and validate results of system modifications and enhancements.
- Monitor system vendor release notes and analyze for production application.
- Represent Payroll in collaboration with IT to justify and prioritize payroll projects.
- Apply advanced technology in the design, analysis, and development of ad-hoc reports.
- Contribute technical and analytical skills to identify root cause of issues and communicate opportunities to streamline and automate existing processes within the department.
- Provide user support and consultation on timekeeping and payroll system challenges and questions in a fast paced timeline driven environment.
- Guide, instruct and mentor other payroll projects team members to further develop overall team expertise.
- Communicate effectively with leadership, field and partner organizations to improve the end to end process.
Required Skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or a related field or combined education/experience equivalent.
- 8+ years experience that includes information systems, project management, report writing and system conversion.
- Expert knowledge of SAP Payroll system and process.
- Familiarity with various process configurations including in-house, outsourced, SaaS, and interfaces with other internal systems and external TPA's.
- Advanced SAP and Business Warehouse report writing skills.
- Ability to design, query and manipulate large data sets in Excel.
- 3 years supervisory or team lead experience.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
