WHAT YOU'LL DO As a key member of our culinary team you will:
- Prepare and execute menu items to high-quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen that meets health code regulations.
- Assist with menu development, food preparation and inventory management.
- Inspect and report kitchen equipment maintenance needs.
- Help train and support fellow kitchen staff.
- Uphold personal and club appearance standards, always providing friendly and professional service.
- Adhere to all Dormie Network policies and procedures.
- Work with other employees and become an efficient working team.
WHO YOU ARE We're looking for someone who:
- Has a solid understanding of safe food handling and kitchen operations
- Communicates effectively and works well in a team
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and meets deadlines with strong organizational skills.
- Has at least two years of experience in food preparation and cooking (preferred)
- Can stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs. for extended periods.
- Is able to work independently in the absence of supervision.a
- Has excellent organizational skills, time management and attention to detail.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
- High School Diplomas and or GED preferred.
- Two years' previous experience in food preparation and cooking.
PHYSCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS - Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, twist, and turn in kitchen and service area.
- Must be able to visually inspect ingredients and finished product for quality.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Able to communicate with others.
- Able to operate a computer and other office equipment, such as point of sale, calculator, or printer.
