The Seasonal IT Assistant will support the IT department by assisting with various technology-related tasks and projects as directed by Company IT staff. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a student or entry-level candidate interested in IT to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment. The Seasonal IT Assistant will work closely with IT staff to troubleshoot issues, assist with system upgrades, and support daily IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to employees by troubleshooting basic hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with setting up, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Support IT staff in software installations, updates, and security patches.
• Help manage inventory of IT assets, including tracking and organizing equipment.
• Assist with IT-related projects, such as system upgrades, network maintenance, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Document and log technical issues, resolutions, and processes for future reference.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes by setting up user accounts, email access, and company devices.
• Provide general administrative support to the IT team as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and troubleshooting methods.
• Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Google Workspace, or other common business applications.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN).
• Previous experience in an IT help desk or technical support role (preferred but not required).
