Overview
As a Seasonal Customer Service Specialist, you will ensure an exceptional customer experience through expertise, ownership, and accountability. Your communication skills will be vital as you interact with customers, providing quality service while utilizing cutting-edge technology for vehicle glass repairs and recalibrations.

Your Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers into the shop and resolve their concerns quickly and efficiently.
  • Manage incoming communications including calls, emails, and faxes regarding service issues, pricing, and warranty information.
  • Confirm and complete work orders, including insurance verifications and missing details.
  • Handle administrative tasks like invoicing, processing credit memos, and managing work orders.
  • Learn how to repair vehicle glass under the guidance of experienced technicians.
  • Perform repairs on chips and cracks in auto glass.
  • Utilize the Safelite handheld Mobile Resource Management technology to manage documentation and communicate with customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles during repairs and carry out shop housekeeping tasks.
  • Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshooting and completing necessary tests.
  • Safely operate customer vehicles and use company-issued tools and chemicals.
  • Follow store opening and closing procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to company policies and standards.

Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • A valid state-issued driver's license is required.
  • Completion of Safelite SafeTech certification during on-the-job training is required.
Experience Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in telephone operations or business administration is required.
  • Proven ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and assist with lifting windshields weighing 26-50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces and using hand and power tools safely.
  • Valid operation of a motor vehicle following all laws.
  • Professional demeanor with a passion for exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to work with various chemicals as required.
  • Flexible availability to meet customers' needs.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot independently or collaboratively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
  • Capability to perform under pressure while maintaining productivity.
