POSITION SUMMARY

The Seasonal Culinary Team Member is a self-motivated, team-oriented individual who supports Stratton Mountain Resort's culinary program by consistently preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This full-time seasonal role offers a competitive pay of $20-$23 per hour, based on experience. Employee housing is available for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Prepare and produce food according to recipe standards and specifications.
  • Effectively manage various food stations including Pantry, Flat Top/Stove, Deep Fryers, Pizza Oven, etc.
  • Expedite orders to maintain efficiency and ticket times.
  • Foster a positive and professional demeanor to encourage optimal teamwork.
  • Comply with all resort safety and food sanitation protocols while becoming proficient in relevant standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain clear communication regarding shift changes with supervisors.
  • Ensure proper preparation and serving of hot and cold items.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures diligently.
  • Keep workspace clean and sanitary.
  • Ensure kitchen equipment is well-maintained, reporting any issues immediately.
  • Assist Outlet Chefs in accurate end-of-month inventory counts.
  • Participate in all required training sessions, both in-person and online.
  • Complete any additional tasks assigned by supervisors with enthusiasm.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary internship is preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • 2 years of experience in a high-volume food and beverage environment
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive in seeking additional tasks during slower periods.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and strong personal grooming standards.
  • Familiarity with Vermont health codes.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Food Allergen Safety Certification (can be provided upon hire if needed)
  • Valid driver's license
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work in various locations within the resort.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying at least 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand for shifts of 8 hours or longer.
  • Ability to work in both hot and freezing temperatures throughout shifts.
