SE Architecture Team Lead

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Systems Engineering Architecture Team Leader
Secret Clearance required

The team lead:

- Is the first line of leadership for all SE Architecture team members and reports to the SE Engineering Manager

- Is responsible for maintaining accurate metrics of team progress

- Supports all team staffing responsibilities, including interviewing new candidates, dealing with team performance issues, and supporting team member growth and development

- Is also expected to be technically competent in all of the work performed by the team such that they can acts a reviewer of product to ensure quality

- Is responsible for defining and ensuring compliance with SE Architecture team processes

Experience Required
Must understand systems engineering, architecture, systems design, development, and integration
Experience in Ballistic Missile defense is highly desired
Should have previous experience working across organizations to define solutions
Analyze high level needs and using a structured and logical approach refine those needs into an integrated set of requirements that leads to a fielded product is desired
Lead/perform portions of the work and direct the activities of other systems engineers is also desired
Work directly with multiple customer organizations and contractor organizations is a must
Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required as is the ability to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings

Technical Skills Required
An understanding of systems engineering process and principles, and have a proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions
Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., Specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.)
Familiarity with the application and use of systems engineering tools for requirements management and Object-Oriented requirements definition (e.g., DOORS)
Experience working in an integrated team environment with system, software, and specialty engineers to develop solutions
Engineering leadership, identification and definition of desired capabilities, fielding of new capabilities
System-of-system definition, integration practices and methods, communicating the desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users
Agile Iteration Planning

Education Required
Bachelor Degree in Math, Science, and Engineering or related discipline. MS desirable.
Possess a minimum of 10 years experience and a bachelor's degree, (8 years with an advanced degree) in a related engineering environment, or equivalent experience.
Secret Clearance required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
