Position Summary The Scrum Master plays a key role in driving high-performing Agile teams by fostering collaboration, removing obstacles, and ensuring alignment between technology efforts and organizational goals. This Information Technology (IT) position supports the delivery of scalable, high-quality digital solutions that enhance Empower Pharmacy's ability to provide affordable, personalized healthcare. By championing Agile practices and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement, the Scrum Master helps accelerate innovation and operational excellence in support of Empower's mission to expand access to life-changing medications.
Duties and Responsibilities - Facilitates all core Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to promote team alignment, clarity, and consistent delivery of value.
- Acts as a servant-leader and Agile coach to cross-functional teams by fostering collaboration, promoting ownership, and proactively identifying and removing obstacles that impact team performance.
- Partners with Product Owners and stakeholders to ensure backlogs are refined, priorities are clearly communicated, and each sprint delivers measurable business value aligned with strategic goals.
- Monitors and communicates Agile performance metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and sprint health to drive transparency, inform decision-making, and support continuous improvement.
- Champions Agile adoption across departments by facilitating training, sharing best practices, and supporting the integration of artificial intelligence enabled tools to enhance delivery efficiency and automation.

Knowledge and Skills - Demonstrated ability to lead Agile ceremonies, resolve team impediments, and coach teams toward greater autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement as a servant leader.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban, with hands-on experience using tools like Jira and Confluence to support Agile planning, collaboration, and transparency.

Experience and Qualifications - Minimum of 5 years of experience leading Agile delivery as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within software development or IT environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) is required; SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is preferred.
