Overview

GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Scrum Master and Project Manager. This role is a fully remote opportunity, but candidates should be able to report to Columbus, OH for their first day.

Position Overview

As a Scrum Master and Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading agile teams to deliver high-quality IT projects while also overseeing traditional project management functions. You will work closely with development teams, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. The role involves utilizing Scrum and Agile methodologies, as well as managing IT projects through hybrid approaches where appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Scrum Master for up to 2 teams, coaching and guiding teams through Scrum practices.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc.) for development teams.
  • Collaborate with product owners to ensure clear and prioritized product backlogs.
  • Use Azure DevOps and Team Foundations Server to coordinate work, manage backlogs, and track team metrics.
  • Assist in managing IT projects using both Scrum and waterfall/hybrid methodologies.
  • Oversee vendor-led projects, ensuring the delivery of contract scope, timelines, and milestones.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparent progress reporting.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within development teams.
  • Help bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance.
  • 4+ years of experience using Azure DevOps for work management.
  • 4+ years of experience as a Scrum Master on a product team.
  • 4+ years of experience applying Scrum framework principles.
  • 5+ years overseeing vendor-led projects, ensuring successful delivery of scope and deliverables.
  • 7+ years of experience in designing and implementing project plans, including defining needs, tasks, milestones, scope, resources, budget, and personnel.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise project management (projects with 10+ team members or budgets over $500,000).
  • 4+ years of experience using Team Foundations Server or Azure DevOps to manage product backlogs and report team metrics.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
  • Familiarity with technologies like Salesforce, Mulesoft, RPA, or Snowflake.
  • Strong understanding of program management concepts and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
