How will you make an impact?
As part of a great team, our Antibody Development Scientist will have responsibility for the development of research products centered around antibody-based workflow solutions including Western, ELISA, IF, and single cell biology applications. You will work cross-functionally with marketing communications, sales, product management, and manufacturing to develop new products in support of the company's growth strategy. This is a highly collaborative role where you will directly impact the company's revenue growth.
The selected candidate for this position will:
- Work closely with the company leaders to achieve NPI and corporate revenue goals.
- Lead strategic and tactical planning efforts around new product development and key market segments to make investment recommendations to the leadership team.
- Manage a recombinant antibody development workflow to address an aggressive new product introduction strategy.
- Develop product portfolio roadmap in collaboration with marketing and product management.
- Ensure high technical quality content of marketing materials including collateral, web, sales tools, flyers, videos, white papers, case studies, and customer testimonials.
- Assist commercial teams and product management in product and market knowledge (tradeshow / event support, sales support, training).
- Report on product development performance, trends, and corrective actions.
How will you get here?
Education:
- Ph.D. in life science or related subject.
- M.S. in life science or related subject, plus 3 years industry experience.
Experience:
- Experience in recombinant antibody development, particularly focused on single B-cell sorting, immunophenotyping, and monoclonal antibody isolation.
- Experience with immunofluorescence/immunohistochemistry applications.
- Experience with workflow product development (reagent / instrument solutions).
Skills and Abilities:
- Ph.D. or M.S. degree in life science or related subject.
- Experience in recombinant Ab development.
- Single-cell sorting and/or flow cytometry, experience with Sony SH800S preferred
- Assay and Application experience including - Immunoassay, Western and IF/IHC applications.
- Highly organized with proven time management and prioritization skills.
- Adept at managing multiple projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills (among all levels within the organization), including diplomacy and negotiation skills.
- Ability to lead and manage junior laboratory members to pursue company goals.
- Scientific subject matter expert as demonstrated at conferences and with business partners.
- Results-oriented and dedicated to providing high quality customer experience.
- Goal-oriented individual with demonstrated record of achievement.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Working Conditions:
- Travel, including international, may be required approximately 20% of the time.
- Work situations include significant collaboration with people; working alone; making judgments and decisions; and directing and planning the activities of others.
- Some heavy lifting, kneeling, squatting, etc. may be required.
