Position Title: Scientist I
Work Location: Ridgefield, CT 06877
Assignment Duration: 12 Months
Position Summary: Scientist I will execute pharmaceutical manufacturing and characterization studies to support drug product development activities and critical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up unit operation parameters for various processes and responsible for successful completion of batches.
- Characterize drug product performances, such as flow, particle sizing, hardness and disintegration.
- Conduct maintenance and calibration of manufacturing instruments as well as lab safety, compliance and necessary documentation.
Qualification & Experience:
- Adequate or hands on experience of working on various unit operations of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes (direct compression, roller compaction, high shear and fluid bed granulation).
- Proficient using MS-Excel, MS-Word as well as data systems for computer controlled instrumentation.
- Experience evaluating analytical data and summarize meaningful conclusions.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work with a team of individuals in a timeline driven setting.
- Ability to frequently lift manufacturing equipments, 20-50 lbs.
Education :
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree (Science or Engineering) with 0-2 years of experience is preferred.
