Goodwill TalentBridge is hiring a Science Teacher to start in August for our client: a preeminent Catholic High School in Milwaukee. Teaching certification is not required to start.

The High School Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching select courses from the list below. We are seeking candidates with experience and/or strong content knowledge in these subjects. The position will be structured based on the strengths and expertise of the selected candidate.
Potential Courses:
- Physics
- AP Physics
- Principles of Engineering
- Civil Engineering and Architecture
- Physical Science: Laboratory Investigations in Forensics
Primary Areas of Responsibility:
- Daily responsibilities include planning for and teaching the courses decided on.
- Create and execute appropriate learning and teaching activities.
- Exercise effective classroom management with the use of fair and consistent standards and appropriate sanctions that are clearly articulated to the students.
- Accompany students by inviting them to ask questions, to express their joys and challenges, to seek understanding
- Implement a wide range of assessment strategies consistent with course content and objectives.
- Collaborate with other department members and grade-level teachers to innovate and nurture an excellent culture of teaching and learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college/university
- Certification by the Wisconsin DPI with a valid teaching license preferred, not required
- Demonstrated ability to work well with students, staff, and administration
- Great communication skills, particularly with parents/guardians and colleagues;
- A desire for continuous improvement
- Experience with educational tech tools
- Willingness and desire to become involved in the wider school community through club moderation, coaching, etc
