DUTIES:
Performs routine office duties such as maintaining inventory, purchasing office supplies, processing payment vouchers, department payroll, office account-keeping, filing, maintaining personnel files, answering phones, distributing mail, etc.
Coordinate and organize interview processes in collaboration with building/district administrators.
Assists and prepares HR documents, appointments, requisitions and various correspondence and support materials.
Track evaluations/APPR across stakeholder groups.
Maintains office files and variety of office records.
Processes substitute teacher applications and phone interviews, submits information to payroll and BOCES Sub Service, and maintains database and files.
Utilizes a personal computer and modern software programs including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and publishing.
Receive and process registrations new to the district directly from the public and from the school buildings.
Process student transfers within the district and out of the district in PowerSchool.
Upon notification from Home School secretary, transfer students to Home School in PowerSchool.
Upon notification from Special Education, enroll CPSE students into PowerSchool.
Enter summer school registrations into PowerSchool.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Must have high school diploma or equivalent
2 years college, with specialization in Secretarial/Business Administration or equivalent clerical experience.
Must be Civil Service approved
Computer skills including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Word, Excel and Internet
Prospective employees must receive state and federal clearance based on a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check. Details are available from the district personnel office.
Ability to interact positively with community, faculty, staff and students on a daily basis
