School Chef
12.60 - 15.50 per hour DOE, YO51, 7am - 2pm, Monday to Friday, term time only, 28 days holiday, free parking, Temporary role with the possibility of permanent position for the right candidate
We are looking for an experienced cook to join the team of this village primary school:
- Preparing and cooking food from a set menu
- Keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
- Responsible for ordering and kitchen paperwork
- Supervising the team of catering assistants
We would expect the successful school chef to have experience of running a small kitchen, or their own section of a bigger kitchen. You will need to have a good understanding of food safety and allergens.
This would be an ideal role if you have experience of managing a kitchen and would enjoy working with a small team, cooking for a set number daily and working weekdays only.
This role will require an enhanced DBS certificate.
You will be working at a local primary school as part of their kitchen team. Due to the location it would be useful to have your own transport.
