Please note - The annual base salary range is $155k to $165k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assitant to join their school-based health team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school-based health team, including Nurse Practitioners and support staff.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations for team members.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including Medicare/Medicaid guidelines.
Support staff in conducting comprehensive health assessments, diagnosing, and managing student health conditions.
Act as a clinical resource for complex cases and provide second opinions when needed.
Monitor the quality of care provided, implementing improvements as necessary.
Develop and implement health programs to meet the needs of the student population, including preventive care and health education initiatives.
Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, and community partners to enhance the school's health services.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to coordinate care and address student needs.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Prepare and review reports on service delivery, compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.
Monitor and maintain Medicare/Medicaid billing practices to ensure adherence to guidelines.
Requirements:
Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP), or Physician Assistant (PA) license in New York State.
Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Experience in school-based health settings or pediatric care preferred.
Fluent in Spanish preferred.
