Title: Scheduling Coordinator (2 Openings)
Location: Onsite at Horizons Conference Center: 6200 State St, Saginaw, MI 48603. Once plant is finished, position will move to Hemlock, MI.
Interview process: Phone screen, then onsite interview. Some candidates may go straight to onsite interview.
Work Schedule: Must be able to work a 2-3-2-day shift schedule (works alternating weekends). Manager will ensure 40 hours a week are worked, so flexibility for working over 8 hours a day may be required. The two newly hired contingents will work opposite days to cover all shifts.
Note: This is an ITAR facility. Candidates must be complaint with DOD/ITAR requirements.
Important information regarding skills:
- There are over 1000 operators for which schedulers are needed to track call in's, time off requests, schedule changes, etc.
- Candidates will be doing Constraint-based scheduling with assets and projects. They will be publishing schedules, following rules, and maintaining multiple spreadsheets.
- Candidates must be extremely proficient in Excel (formula creation, vlookups, pivot tables, etc).
- Associates degree is required. Someone who has worked at a college scheduling courses might possess the required skills for this role.
Purpose of the Position:
- Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to join Client's Operations team as a contingent worker. The Scheduling Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing scheduling processes to ensure seamless operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently handle and process employee time off requests, ensuring adherence to company policies and fair distribution of time off.
- Monitor and implement schedule changes as needed, coordinating with relevant
- Accurately track and document employee absences, maintaining comprehensive records for reporting and payroll purposes.
- Identify and advertise available overtime slots, working closely with team members to ensure all shifts are adequately covered.
- Prepare and distribute employee schedules in a timely and organized manner, ensuring all staff members have access to up-to-date scheduling information.
- Until the time keeping system is deployed across the plant, collaborate with the team to develop and implement an efficient system for managing time-off requests, improving the overall scheduling process.
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts and issues as they arise.
- Generate and distribute reports related to scheduling activities and performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred, Associates degree required
- 1-2 years of experience in a scheduling role, preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets and data.
- Strong communication skills, capable of effectively conveying information and responding to inquiries.
- Excellent organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in scheduling or administrative roles is preferred but not required.
