Metro Transit is seeking to hire a SCADA Principal Contract Administrator (Capital Projects) The Principal Contract Administrator/Contract Administrator manages the SCADA contract through construction and pre-revenue testing for the Green Line Extension (GLE) project and will assume oversight of the system operations and maintenance after the line begins revenue service. Appointed to act on behalf of the Council as the Council's Authorized Representative (CAR). Acts as the interface between the project office, IS staff, operations staff and the SCADA contractor.

What you would do in this job
• Manage the GLE SCADA construction contract to the satisfaction of all project stakeholders from inception to final completion and operation; oversee future maintenance and upgrade contracts.
• Identify and manage the resolution of numerous programming, construction, and design related problems arising due to defective plans, specifications, or unanticipated field conditions.
• Inspect SCADA construction, programming, and testing work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications, applying to future transit projects as well as the existing LRT SCADA System Maintenance Contract.
• Coordinate with Council stakeholders that are impacted by the new and existing LRT SCADA System due to conflicts with SCADA contractor activities, SCADA Points list development, and integration testing.
• Maintain plans, testing documentation, and oversee configuration management for the GLE SCADA Contract and other future transit projects or existing LRT SCADA System Maintenance Contract. What education and experience are required for this job (minimum qualifications)
This position will be filled as one of the following classifications based on qualifications and business needs. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required for all levels.
Principal Contract Administrator (Non-Represented Grade I, Exempt - $93,704 - $152,069)
Any of the following combinations of experience (progressively responsible project and construction management experience) and completed education (in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or related field):
• High school diploma/GED with nine (9) years of experience.
• Associates degree with seven (7) years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or higher, and five (5) years of experience. Contract Administrator (Non-Represented Grade G, Non-exempt - $80,142 - $130,062)
Any of the following combinations of experience (progressively responsible project and construction management experience) and completed education (in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or related field):
• High school diploma/GED with seven (7) years of experience.
• Associates degree with five (5) years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or higher, and three (3) years of experience. What additional skills and experience would be helpful in this job (desired qualifications):
• Project Management experience preferred.
• Strong change order negotiation skills a plus.
• Knowledge of SCADA systems, operations, and maintenance a plus.
• Knowledge of Rail Signaling and Communications systems a plus.
• Experience with Electronic Project Management Systems a plus.
• Strong analytical, organization, planning, and leadership skills.
• Self-motivated individual able to work independently or in a team environment and willing to learn. What is the knowledge, skills, and abilities you should have within the first six months on the job:

Work Environment: Work is performed in a standard office setting and in the field. This position has exposure to extreme weather conditions where there is no effective protection from the weather, loud noises, exposure to hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, and working near moving parts, atmospheric conditions, and vibration. Some travel between primary worksite to other sites is required. This is a hybrid role.
