Position Description Serco is seeking an SCA Video Teleconference (VTC) Technician to join our team supporting the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) at Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM) in Washington state. The selected candidate will manage and maintain video teleconferencing operations for secure and unclassified briefings and training events.
In this role, you will:
- Set up, test, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot Non-classified Internet Protocol (NIPR) and Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPR) video teleconferencing (VTC) equipment.
- Act independently as the MTC liaison when coordinating and scheduling secure and unclassified VTC briefings, conferences, and training events with customers and representatives.
- Field frequent interactions with the customer and outside contacts on routine and emergent matters.
- Make independent decisions which may impact the organization's operations and services.
- Use Microsoft Outlook calendars and Microsoft Teams for scheduling and coordination.
Qualifications - One of the following:
- High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years of audio/visual (A/V) experience.
- Associate's degree in A/V, media technology, or related discipline with a minimum of 3 years of A/V experience.
- Bachelor's degree in A/V, media technology, or related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of A/V experience.
- Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
- Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
- Must be able to work on-site at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Washington.
- Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time).
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple VTC events concurrently.
- Initiative and critical thinking skills to solve real-time technical challenges.
Additional desired experience and skills:
- Formal VTC training certification.
- General knowledge of Cisco WebEx Code Plus systems.
