Job Title: SAP WM Architect
Location: Charolette, NC - Onsite (with potential for remote flexibility at manager's discretion)

Job Summary:
Client is seeking a highly experienced SAP Warehouse Management (WM) Architect to support and optimize our warehouse management processes within both SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments. This role is shifting to focus more on strategic leadership, solution architecture, and transformation initiatives, rather than purely configuration and support. Candidates must have an Overall 15+ years of experience in SAP and a minimum of 3 years of experience in an SAP Architect role and at least 10 years of hands-on SAP WM experience.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the heavy equipment industry, particularly within sales and rental operations, and will play a key role in driving innovation, operational efficiency, and strategic alignment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead solution design and architectural strategy for SAP WM in ECC and S/4HANA environments.
- Provide expert-level guidance on warehouse and inventory management transformation initiatives.
- Drive strategic decision-making around system enhancements, upgrades, and migrations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, logistics, rental operations, and IT to define and implement scalable solutions.
- Translate complex business requirements into effective SAP solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee configuration, implementation, and optimization of SAP WM functionalities, while delegating support tasks as needed.
- Design and maintain functional specifications for enhancements, custom developments, and integrations.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Conduct and validate system testing to ensure technical and business compliance.
- Support integration with 3PLs and external WMS platforms.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years in an SAP Architect role, focusing on strategic and transformational initiatives.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as an SAP WM Analyst or Consultant.
- Strong background in heavy equipment industry operations, specifically sales and rental domains.
- Deep expertise in SAP WM processes, including inventory management, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Experience with EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of SAP MM and integration with SD, PP, and QM modules.
- Experience integrating RF technology and barcode scanning solutions.
- Proven ability to lead SAP implementation, upgrade, and migration projects.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA 1809, 1909, or newer.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori Apps and SAP UI5 for WM.
- Hands-on experience with 3PL and EDI integration.
- Understanding of Lean WM functionalities.
- Background in driving digital transformation and innovation within warehouse operations.
