SAP S/4 HANA Program Manager- FI/CO, FSCM

Albia, NY (Onsite role)

Fulltime Position

Responsibilities:
  • Program Management: Lead and manage end-to-end SAP S/4 HANA implementation programs with a strong emphasis on SAP Finance functionalities, ensuring alignment with client objectives and Tech Mahindra's delivery standards.
  • Agile Delivery: Drive program execution using scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe), facilitating Agile ceremonies, and ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong, trust-based relationships. Effectively communicate program status, risks, and issues, and proactively manage client expectations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage and manage diverse stakeholders, including client business and IT teams, internal Tech Mahindra teams (onshore and offshore), and third-party vendors.
  • SAP Finance Expertise: Leverage deep functional knowledge of SAP Finance (FI/CO) processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, and related areas, to understand client requirements and guide the solution.
  • Project Lifecycle Management: Possess a clear understanding of the SAP project lifecycle, including planning, development, Functional Unit Testing (FUT), System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover, and go-live activities, and ensure each phase is executed effectively and at the right time.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve complex program issues, leveraging candidate's deep understanding of SAP and project management methodologies.
  • SteerCo Participation: Represent Tech Mahindra in Steering Committee meetings with confidence and assertiveness, providing clear and concise updates, addressing concerns, and influencing decisions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance. This includes managing both technical and functional consultants.
  • Financial Management: Take ownership of project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, tracking expenses, and managing P&L to ensure project profitability.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and dependencies proactively. Develop and implement risk response plans.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of deliverables through adherence to Tech Mahindra's quality standards and best practices.
  • Solution Guidance: Provide insightful guidance and solutions based on candidate's SAP Finance expertise and understanding of the client's business needs.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in managing SAP implementation projects, with a significant focus on SAP S/4 HANA.
  • Extensive hands-on functional experience in SAP Finance (FI/CO) modules, with a strong understanding of business processes and best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing projects using scaled Agile methodologies. Relevant Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist) are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing large, complex, and global SAP implementation programs.
  • Exceptional client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong assertive command and the ability to effectively represent Tech Mahindra in front of clients.
  • Proven ability to understand complex problems, perform deep dives, and propose effective solutions.
  • Solid experience in managing project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
  • Strong understanding of the entire project lifecycle and the interdependencies between different phases.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology is a plus.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with SAP Central Finance, Credit management (FSCM).
  • Knowledge of other SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM, PP).
  • Experience with offshore-onsite delivery models.
