Mission statement

  • Can lead PMO Teams of up to 5 individuals on SAP business side enabled transformation projects
  • Demonstrable experience in setting up programme PMO teams and programme governance processes
  • Experience of setting up and maintaining programme RAAIDD trackers
  • Experience of setting up and maintaining deliverable management processes including approval, storage and version controlling of programme deliverables
  • Experience of managing a level 1(PoP), 2(Critical Path) and 3 plan (Integrated MSP)
  • Experience of managing programme budgets, cost reporting and vendor cost management
  • Delivered 2 full lifecycles of SAP projects.

What you'll do

The PMO Lead at Resulting plays a crucial role, acting as the glue that binds together stakeholders, the business, and implementation partners in ERP programmes. We deliver PMO services to clients, ensuring robust governance for SAP projects. This role demands adaptability, stringent control, and a commitment to clear and effective project delivery. As a PMO Lead, you will be responsible for establishing project management standards and processes, ensuring these are adhered to throughout project lifecycles. Your role includes regular monitoring of project progress against objectives, identifying and resolving deviations and bottlenecks. You will also be instrumental in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, driving efficiency and effectiveness in project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement core PMO functions and services for the programme including governance forums, PMO tool-kit, deliverables management and methodology
  • Facilitate all governance forums (e.g., project board or stage gate) including preparation of materials with appropriate stakeholders, distribution of materials, chairing of meetings, production & distribution of minutes
  • Assurance and distribution of Project or Programme status reports/tracking activities
  • Accountable for planning standards, ensuring the maintenance of appropriately detailed and validated plans across the Programme
  • Responsibility for production and management of the consolidated plan including key dependencies and defined critical path
  • RAAIDD management (Risk, Assumption, Action, Issue, Dependency and Decision)
  • Tracking and management of Programme KPIs related to budgets, and resource utilisation
  • Manage resource demand and control processes, including forecasts, availability tracking, on and off boarding, and internal communications
  • Effective management of complex stakeholder matrices
  • Implement and monitor mechanisms for knowledge transfer and experience sharing within the team and the business
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement of the PMO functions and services to enable and enhance the capability of the project workforce to achieve the project's objectives.

Qualifications

You will be a PMO leader with experience in technology implementation, including both ERP packages and bespoke applications. Ideal candidates typically emerge from large consulting firms or corporations, having been deeply involved in Programme delivery or Project Portfolio Management.

You should be dynamic, quality-driven, collaborative, solution-oriented, possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You will have a background in PMO on transformational change programmes. Your expertise in strategic planning and execution will be crucial in guiding projects to success. You must be adept at balancing multiple project demands, aligning them with organisational goals and resources. Your experience should also include effective team leadership, mentoring project managers and team members to foster a high-performance project environment.

The pay range for this role is:

35,000 - 45,000 GBP per year (Based on Experience)
