SAP Change Management Lead

This is an exciting opportunity to join a pivotal program at MassMutual aimed at transforming our financial systems. As the Change Management Lead, you will spearhead the planning and execution of a comprehensive change management strategy in connection with the transition from our current SAP R3 platform to the advanced SAP S/4HANA system. Your work will significantly enhance our financial reporting and data analytics capabilities.

In this role, you will harness your expertise in organizational change management to engage stakeholders effectively, implement communication strategies, and facilitate training initiatives while addressing resistance to change through proven methodologies such as ADKAR. You will be a core member of the Change Management Team reporting directly to the Change Management Director, contributing to a major transformation within the company.

Your Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the change management (CM) plan for the SAP S/4HANA implementation, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Conduct change risk assessments and evaluate the organizational impact of the transformation.
  • Perform stakeholder and business impact assessments to tailor change management plans that cater to the needs of all affected groups.
  • Define metrics to measure the success of the change management initiatives.
  • Create and implement effective engagement and communication strategies to ensure organization-wide awareness of changes.
  • Oversee training needs assessments and develop a comprehensive training plan to equip employees with the necessary skills for the future state.
  • Monitor progress of the change management initiatives and report issues as part of project updates.
  • Lead business readiness evaluations and facilitate GO/No-Go sessions.
  • Partner with project managers to document lessons learned and make necessary improvements.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on change management practices to stakeholders and team members.
  • Identify and empower change advocates within the organization to foster understanding and facilitate successful transitions.
  • Regularly assess the stakeholder community for signs of change fatigue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels to be a trusted partner throughout the process.
  • Promote continuous improvement and efficiencies in change management processes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least 8 years of experience in developing and executing change management plans.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Ideal Qualifications
  • More than 10 years of experience in a change management role.
  • Experience leading change management efforts for SAP S/4HANA implementations or Finance transformation projects.
  • Certification in Prosci's Change Management program (or equivalent) and a strong grasp of change management principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting training needs assessments and implementing training solutions.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
  • Previous experience in program management or transformation offices.
  • Proficient with project management tools such as MS Office Suite, Smartsheet, and Jira.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders at various levels within the organization.
