JD: S/4 HANA Technical Architect - Job Description The
S/4 HANA Technical Architect is responsible for application development within S/4HANA systems, leading technical initiatives and ensuring high-quality software solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP technologies, coding best practices, and enterprise application development.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO - Technical Leadership & Collaboration:
- Serve as the lead for offshore development teams, overseeing project planning, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Work closely with architects, senior developers, functional analysts, and project managers to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Actively participate in ITIL incident, problem, and change management processes.
- Application Development & Code Management:
- Develop, test, and debug structured, maintainable code that meets IT technical standards.
- Create detailed technical specifications and participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
- Support overall application build and code promotion processes.
- SAP Technology Expertise:
- Strong proficiency in ABAP, Fiori, OData CDS/Gateway, and Web Services.
- Experience with SAP GUI, Eclipse IDE, native SQL, SAPUI5, API management, and JavaScript development.
- Familiarity with Transportation Management (TM) and Master Data Governance (MDG) development is preferred.
- Problem-Solving & Process Improvement:
- Conduct complex analyses, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement effective solutions.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, offering enhancements to existing applications.
- Ensure compliance with IT security controls, risk management policies, and credentialing standards in application development.
WHAT YOU BRING - Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in information technology with expertise in SAP application development.
- Strong understanding of IT risks, controls, and security protocols in enterprise applications.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, with excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging development technologies and industry trends.
