The Salisbury VA Health Care System is actively seeking a full- time Psychiatrist for the Salisbury VA Medical Center. You will provide care to a diverse veteran population with a good deal of mental health-related issues including but not limited to, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Severe Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorders, and medical co-morbidities.

8:00am -4:30pm, Monday-Friday

Call Coverage: At home, phone call 10-12 days per year.

Optional weekend inpatient coverage for additional pay



Requirements:

    • Board Certified/ Eligible
    • Have a full, unrestricted medical license in any State.
    • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
    • Residency Training must have been completed, approved by the secretary of Veteran Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
    • U.S. Citizenship: non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
    • Must have 2 years or leadership and supervisory experience.

Compensation & Benefit Package:

    • Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases.
    • Paid Time Off: days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME).
