We are looking for an experienced Salesforce expert to join in our digital transformation journey by supporting our Salesforce ecosystem. Successful candidates will be comfortable in both the technical development aspects of Salesforce, as well as in providing leadership and guidance for enterprise-wide database management. They will support both development and administration, with a hands-on approach, ensuring alignment with stakeholders by making solutions scalable. This newly created role will be based at our corporate office in Frederick, MD and will require at least three days a week in the office.

Essential Job Duties:
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to leverage salesforce features to meet business goals
  • Apply a strong understanding of system integrations and database architecture to manage system changes and create meaningful connections between platforms
  • Deploy planned releases and bug fixes using CI/CD best practices with tools like GitHub & Salesforce DevOps
  • Manage environmental refreshes, system integrations, and data flows to and from Salesforce
  • Configure Salesforce standard features like custom objects, validation rules, custom fields, flows, Visualforce pages, record types
  • Create and develop POC's that meet design requirements
  • Plan & monitor enterprise level security & compliance
  • Lead a team of system developers, both in-house and offshore, ensuring solutions align with organizational governance and software development best practices
  • Participate in team meetings such as the daily standup, sprint ceremonies & retrospectives
  • Collaborate closely with Salesforce Product Management to write user stories, design & test new features, and maintain system documentation
  • Actively respond to user questions and Salesforce support cases
  • Monitor logs to identify and troubleshoot failures through code and configuration review
  • Perform data migrations & updates using data loader and workbench
  • Provide general salesforce user administration- profiles, roles, public groups, permission sets, sharing & visibility
  • Use a holistic approach to align enhancements with ThompsonGas' long term digital asset harmonization strategy
  • Schedule flexibility to accommodate after-hours deployments & bug fixes
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business
  • 5+ years of Salesforce Platform experience
  • Experience using Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Lead Management, Marketing Cloud, & Field Service. Recent experience in Field Service, Lead Management, and Marketing Cloud is preferred
  • Experience working on projects in a development role
  • 2-5 years of development experience with different coding languages such as Python, SQL, JavaScript and Apex is required
  • Salesforce Administrator certification is preferred
  • SalesforceSystem or Technical Architect certification is preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile methodology
  • Demonstrates sound judgement when assessing the impact of changes
  • Experience with workflow documentation (Visio, Lucid Chart)
  • Strong ability to build business partnerships and align with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical skills to diagnose and resolve code issues
  • Ability to lead through adversity
  • Strong attention to detail in documentation
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex technical processes in a simple, digestible manner
  • Experience working successfully with offshore support
  • Flexibility to work after regular business hours to coordinate with offshore support teams
  • Minimal travel may be required (up to 15%)
