Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Engineer to join our team and enhance our Salesforce platform capabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for developing custom solutions using the Salesforce Lightning Component Framework, managing Salesforce administration tasks, and ensuring seamless integration with other systems. Your work will focus on driving automation, supporting production environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Salesforce Development & Customization

    • Develop custom Lightning components and applications using the Salesforce Lightning Component Framework.

    • Implement APEX development for customized business logic and application extensions.

    • Master the use of Salesforce Object Query Language (SOQL) and Salesforce Object Search Language (SOSL) for data manipulation and reporting.

  2. Salesforce Administration & Support

    • Oversee Salesforce platform configuration, user management, and security settings.

    • Manage Salesforce data, including integrations, reporting, and dashboards.

    • Provide ongoing production support, troubleshoot issues, and optimize platform performance.

  3. System Integration

    • Implement integrations between Salesforce and other systems using APIs, ensuring data flow and synchronization across platforms.

    • Expertly configure and maintain Salesforce APIs to support integrations with third-party applications.

  4. Automation & Efficiency

    • Create workflow automations to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.

    • Leverage Salesforce automation tools (e.g., Process Builder, Flow) to reduce manual tasks and enhance system functionality.

  5. Collaboration & Problem-Solving

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, to understand business needs and deliver tailored Salesforce solutions.

    • Apply strong problem-solving skills to overcome technical challenges, ensuring the platform remains scalable and aligned with HCM's goals.

  6. Salesforce Best Practices & Continuous Improvement

    • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce developments and best practices, ensuring HCM remains on the cutting edge of Salesforce capabilities.

    • Contribute to the evolution of Salesforce strategies within the organization, promoting continuous improvement across all implementations.

  • Compensation: $90,000-$120,000/year, commensurate with experience

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Experience: 5+ years in Salesforce development and administration, with a proven track record in integration and automation.

  • Technical Certifications: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II, Salesforce Administrator (preferred).

  • Technical Skillset: Expertise in Salesforce Lightning, APEX, SOQL, SOSL, APIs, and Salesforce automation tools.

  • Soft Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and deliver high-touch support.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Location: Primarily remote with occasional onsite support required at our Indianapolis, IN office.

  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8 AM-5 PM), with occasional after-hours support for critical issues.

  • Fast-Paced Setting: Must excel in a dynamic environment with multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities.

  • Collaborative Team Culture: Regular interaction with Salesforce and cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
