Position Description: CGI is seeking a Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and implement applications using Salesforce to support business requirements. Developer IV performs high complexity (i.e. system level applications) analysis, design, development and unit testing of software applications from user requirements and design documents. The candidate also resolves defects encountered during various testing cycles. This position is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable. Your future duties and responsibilities: Analyze highly complex business requirements; generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications. Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation and analysis efforts. Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement and support a solution. Assure quality security and compliance requirements are met for supported area. Be flexible and thrive in an evolving environment. Adapt to change quickly and adjust work accordingly in a positive manner. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience. Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and SOQL/SOSL. Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP), OAuth, and integration patterns. Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including governor limits and security. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Salesforce DX). Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Certifications (Highly Preferred) Salesforce Platform Developer I & II Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I (for LWC-heavy roles) Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to lead projects and work independently. Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information systems or related field. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $103,700.00 - $185,100.00.
