The Salesforce Delivery Manager is a key leadership role responsible for driving the successful implementation and enhancement of Salesforce solutions across the organization. This role leads project planning, execution, and delivery-ensuring initiatives are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. Working closely with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and third-party vendors, this individual ensures that Salesforce solutions generate measurable business value and enhance customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Delivery
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of Salesforce initiatives, including project planning, budgeting, resourcing, and execution.
  • Partner with business teams to develop business cases and define project scope, goals, and success metrics.
  • Lead all phases of delivery-requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Expand the company's capabilities by integrating AI technologies across the CRM landscape.
Team & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead cross-functional teams including Salesforce developers, administrators, business analysts, and external consultants.
  • Act as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders, aligning expectations with project outcomes.
  • Foster seamless communication between project teams and executive leadership.
Risk & Issue Management
  • Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Create contingency plans to minimize risk and ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Maintain strong quality assurance practices to ensure technical and business requirements are met.
Salesforce Solutions & Technical Expertise
  • Serve as a subject matter expert across Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.).
  • Collaborate with solution architects to ensure scalable and future-proof design decisions.
  • Stay current on Salesforce platform updates and proactively identify opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
Budget & Resource Management
  • Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocations for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure projects are adequately staffed and deliver ROI.
  • Manage financial aspects including invoicing, budget tracking, and vendor negotiations.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Provide regular project updates and performance reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Track KPIs and milestones to ensure each initiative meets strategic business goals.
  • Use metrics to continuously improve project delivery standards.
Vendor & Partner Management
  • Oversee relationships with Salesforce partners, consultants, and technology vendors.
  • Align vendor services and deliverables with internal timelines and expectations.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage service-level agreements (SLAs).
Key Skills & Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Administrator, Consultant, Project Manager) are preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing Salesforce projects, including successful enterprise-level deployments.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and working within matrixed organizations.
  • Experience coordinating with offshore DevOps or development teams.
Salesforce & Technical Proficiency
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and platform capabilities.
  • Strong background in customizations, integrations, and data migrations across multiple Salesforce modules.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and other PM software.
Leadership & Communication
  • Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Adept at managing up, across, and down the organization.
Additional Competencies
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Adaptability in fast-paced and evolving environments.
  • Knowledge of change management, training, and user adoption best practices.
  • Experience in or with Salesforce consulting partners is a plus.
