Who You Are: As a Salesforce Commerce Technical Architect, you will help Slalom in leading large-scale, global digital commerce projects. You will work with the team to provide high quality code solutions to meet client needs in the implementation, enhancement, and support of the ecommerce platforms, and play a key role in helping our practice grow and thrive.
Responsibilities:- You will lead technical discovery, design, and implementation of client solutions on the Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud platform and/or Salesforce Order Management. Optionally with the right experience on Core with B2B and D2C you could lead on those projects as well.
- You will drive complex enterprise architecture decisions, determining how to best integrate Salesforce B2C Commerce and OMS with major 1st and 3rd party systems such as: ERP, CRM, OMS, payment gateway, middleware, etc.
- You will create technical specifications, provide guidance,and oversight to development teams, and ensure that architectural best practices are being followed.
- You will be a technical thought leader, helping to grow our practice and internal knowledge base.
- You will work closely with 3rd party vendors to support integration and certification.
- You will guide the client through Salesforce's Site Readiness Assessment (SRA) process if applicable.
- You will collaborate closely with the client, technical lead, and project manager to understand the business needs and objectives, leveraging your platform expertise.
- As part of a project team, you will guide client requirements You will work with the project team to assign those tasks out to the developers on the team, assist in running sprint planning meetings, and participate in the project scrum meetings.
Qualifications:- 3+ years of experience with Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud ( Demandware ) platform, especially on Salesforce's Storefront Reference Architecture ( SFRA ) and optimally with headless/composable commerce.
- 2+ years of experience with Salesforce Order Management platform, especially integrations with Salesforce B2C Commerce, ERP, middleware solutions, finance partners, and 3PL/warehouse
- Optimally project experience with other Salesforce Commerce technologies including Core-related clouds for B2B, DTC.
- 5+ years project experience in a hands-on technical leadership position.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid understanding of commerce industry standards and best practices, especially payment gateways, PCI, and Order Management Systems (OMS)
- Solid understanding of object-oriented languages and concepts, Git flow and deployment, unit and integration testing
- Experience using JS Controllers, Demandware Script, ISML Templates, REST/SOAP web services via Service Framework, Job Framework, and understanding of how to integrate to 3rd party code and external systems
- Understanding of web standards and accessibility, as well as responsive design best practices
- Demonstrated experience collaborating and communicating with a diverse set of people across groups and organizational levels
- Enthusiastic, professional and confident team player with a strong focus on client success who can present effectively even under adverse conditions
- 1 or more current Commerce Cloud certifications (B2C Commerce Developer, B2C Commerce Architect)

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range for the Senior Delivery Principal role is $159,000-$217,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
