JOB SUMMARY As a Sales Team Leader, you will assist store management in basic operations, guide the development of associates, and strive to achieve both store and personal sales goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - Exceed store and personal sales targets.
- Assist in training and mentoring a successful sales team.
- Provide feedback and coaching to all employees, enforcing company policies.
- Perform opening and closing duties in line with company guidelines.
- Oversee daily store operations in the absence of store management.
- Ensure loss prevention practices are followed in management's absence.
- Communicate store needs effectively to management.
- Handle bank deposits and complete assigned responsibilities promptly.
- Fulfill all required training programs.
- Deliver a fun, full-service experience to customers.
- Resolve customer issues efficiently.
- Embody and promote the Journeys culture within the team.
JOB REQUIREMENTS - Preferred prior experience in retail sales.
- Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Desire to thrive in a dynamic retail setting.
- Willingness to learn and grow.
- Completion of the training programs leading up to the Sales Team Leader position or equivalent training.
- Availability to work nights and weekends.
- Capability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
