Description:
PRIMARY PURPOSE -
The purpose of the Sales Associate position is to gain market share for Johnstone Supply with sales and service responsibility for an assigned account base and/or marketing territory. This includes developing new business as well as maintaining a current customer base. This position requires maintaining close communications directly with the sales management and operation teams. This position also includes working with the Marketing Department executing marketing programs and promotions.
SCHEDULE -
Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Creating and closing sales.
- Conduct sales calls to House Accounts, as well assigned accounts to explain the products and services Johnstone Supply offers.
- Sales calls in person and by phone.
- Manage new business pipeline.
- Qualify account needs while identifying contact person and follow up call frequency.
- Quote our established prices and persuade the customer to buy.
- Handle price objections, negotiations and preparation of bids in conjunction with the regional sales manager.
- Enter orders on outbound customer sales calls, and coordinate with other departments as needed.
- Record, update and analyze account information to identify sales strategies and objectives.
- Gather information on emerging trends within our industry from various sources.
- Continually be aware of needs and requirements of our customers and suppliers.
- Follow up on quotes for House and Assigned Accounts for the Region.
- Cover for Territory Managers in the Region while on vacation or out sick.
- Help Territory Managers with PartStock/Binstock Programs on an as needed basis.
- Cultivate over the counter leads for the region.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS -
The Sales Associate needs to have a background in HVAC/R trade and outside sales. Sales Associates should have the ability to establish a comfortable rapport between the customer and Johnstone Supply in an effort to solicit orders for product or services in person and over the telephone.
A good driving record is required.
