SALES SUPERVISOR - JOB DESCRIPTION The Sales Supervisor plays a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the retail dispensary and serves as a key support to the management team. During each shift, the Sales Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating sales floor staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and state regulations, and providing hands-on leadership to maintain smooth operations. This role requires frequent multitasking, as the supervisor must balance administrative responsibilities with front-line support, including assisting employees with discounts, transaction troubleshooting, and covering positions when needed. The ideal candidate is task-oriented, highly organized, pays close attention to detail, and maintains a strong sense of urgency.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Train new employees in the company's customer service policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring new hires feel supported and confident in their roles.
- Create daily break and lunch schedules and ensure they are followed consistently throughout the shift to support efficient staffing coverage.
- Delegate responsibilities to front-of-house team members and provide guidance and reinforcement throughout the shift to ensure duties are completed accurately and timely.
- Manage the flow of the store during the shift and step into any sales floor role as needed to maintain operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: - Assist in the proper and thorough training of all new and existing employees, ensuring clarity around expectations, procedures, and compliance standards.
- Monitor and enforce all transaction standards and operating procedures, including MVP steps, scan-tag-and-bag protocols, cash handling procedures, and ID verification requirements.
- Ensure that all employees strictly follow Nirvana Cannabis policies, including customer service expectations, shift conduct, and procedural guidelines.
- Take initiative in monitoring sales floor activity to ensure continuous compliance with cannabis regulations.
- Communicate effectively and consistently with store leadership, including Lead Sales Supervisors, Store Manager, Lead Inventory Supervisors, and corporate team members.
- Provide support to customers on the sales floor to ensure a high level of care and service throughout their visit, resolving concerns promptly and professionally.
- Assist employees with Point of Sale (POS) functions, including applying discounts, processing returns and voids, issuing change, and supporting register closures.
- Demonstrate a strong leadership presence by setting an example in professionalism, pace, attention to detail, and compliance.
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support store operations and team needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proven leadership ability with a track record of motivating and guiding staff.

- Ability to understand, track, and manage basic budgets and store performance metrics.
- Deep understanding of internal company policies and regulatory standards.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: - High School Diploma or GED required.
- At least one year of retail experience is highly preferred.
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a fast-paced retail or cannabis environment is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the facility.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Ability to work on the sales floor in a dynamic, customer-facing environment.
