Job Summary: The Sales Representative for Wine products, will sell and provide guidance about products needed by grocers, restaurants, bars, clubs etc. This position requires a self-motivator who works well on their own. This position plays a key role in the growth of our wholesale business. Selling and proven selling skills is a must. CRM experience preferred but not needed. This position will require a large territory to be covered, and travel will be required. The Territory is San Diego County and Orange County.
Supervisory Responsibilities: • None.
Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Develops and maintains relationships with potential and existing clients in a wine distribution field.
• Identifies and locates new clients through a variety of methods including networking and cold calls.
• Develops and implements strategies for sales in San Diego and Orange County.
• Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
• Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
• Provides information, quotes, credit terms, and other bid specifications to clients.
• Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and/or service agreements.
• Collaborates with route departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and that products are distributed properly.
• Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Merchandises holiday décor is existing accounts.
Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
• Thorough understanding of technical or scientific products to be sold.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient in using a CRM.
Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods of driving.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at times (wine cases).
• Travel to meet with clients.
• Pour wine/tastings.
Compensation: $69,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
