Sales Representative


Summary

An established Japanese manufacturer is seeking a Sales Representative to drive business growth in the semiconductor industry. This role focuses on promoting the company's products to manufacturers of in-vehicle sensors, automotive electrical systems, electronic components, and semiconductor parts. The Sales Representative will play a key role in identifying customer needs and recommending optimal product solutions, while also introducing new offerings to create upselling opportunities.


The ideal candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective customers by providing in-depth technical support and delivering customized solutions aligned with their evolving requirements. Must be fluent in English.


Essential Duties

  • Identify and engage potential customers through regular visits and timely communication
  • Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for potential clients
  • Track and manage sample requests in a spreadsheet and follow up with customers as needed
  • Support New Product Introductions (NPI) to drive product qualification and eventual sales
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Attend industry trade shows to generate leads and maintain customer engagement
  • Monitor industry trends to identify new sales opportunities
  • Propose targeted marketing strategies based on region or customer segment
  • Prepare and submit sales reports to management
  • Share updates through daily activity logs, weekly plans, and monthly/annual territory reports

Working Hours, Working style

Monday - Friday; 9:00 - 17:00

  • Hybrid work: 1 day per week work-from-home option

Salary/Benefit

70K-110K DOE + discretionary bonus


Holidays

Saturdays Sundays, major US holidays


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of outside sales experience in the semiconductor industry
  • Understanding of soldering materials is a strong plus
  • Familiarity with marketing strategies and buyer psychology
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market trends
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Willingness to travel for trade shows, client visits, and demonstrations across North America
  • Valid US driver's license required
