Position: Sales Representative
Type: 3 M contract to Hire
Pay: 20-25/hour (some flex)
Onsite in Fairfax, VA
Insight Global is looking for several sharp, detail-oriented Sales Representatives to join a growing logistics company supporting defense contracts. This is a contract-to-hire role with competitive hourly compensation, benefits, and commission upon conversion.
In this role, the Sales Representative will support Department of Defense contracts and vendors by negotiating competitive quotes and finding creative solutions to unique federal sales scenarios. The Sales Rep will work with internal proposal, finance, and operations teams to deliver competitive proposals quickly and efficiently. This role does not require prior sales experience but, to be successful, it is imperative to have a high sense of urgency and be comfortable working with vendors via phone and video call. Even though this is not an outbound sales or cold calling role, it is a very fast-paced environment with a high standard of expectations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to commute onsite to Fairfax, VA Monday-Friday
Day-to-day responsibilities:
- Make calls federal vendors to create and deliver pricing quotes for multiple proposals
- Work cross functionally with internal teams to understand pricing, proposal language, financing, etc. in a federal environment
- Make outbound calls to new customers/vendors to expedite proposal process
- Document activity and client information in company CRMs
- Work with colleagues on sales team to learn the industry and best practices
