Role Overview

As a Sales Operations Manager, you are responsible for getting the most out of the existing consumer and home improvement contractor facing sales teams and identifying areas of improvement to increase close ratios and new contractor registrations among other metrics. This role oversees sales training and performance aspects of sales departments at HFS while working in collaboration with your supervisor, the Director of Sales Operations.



Key Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities

  • Maintain contact with your sales team to ensure they are following through with customers and contractors

Weekly Responsibilities

  • Lead BDM, CSM, and CUSM calls focusing primarily on best practices, sales leadership, and performance reviews.

Biweekly Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth call reviews with each team member using a scorecard (30 minutes per team member).
  • Provide 1-on-1 sales coaching sessions (30 minutes per team member and as needed).

Monthly Responsibilities

  • Customize sales manager interactions based on where each team member stands-focus more heavily on the bottom 50%.
  • Review Top 20%, Bottom 20%, and Middle 60% performers and develop corresponding action plans.
  • Encourage sharing of practices from top performers; assign coaching responsibilities for middle performers.

Quarterly Responsibilities

  • Manage the bottom 20% of performers or execute exit plans as needed.
  • Implement peer coaching-pair top performers with bottom performers.
  • Organize call groups led by top performers to elevate team-wide performance.
  • Meet KPI goals to ensure company targets are met and exceeded.
