Job Summary: The Sales and MarketingAssociate is responsible for promoting and selling independent living units atHomewood Retirement Centers, focusing on maintaining high occupancy levels.This position also includes move-in coordination duties and participation inspecial events, including occasional weekend and evening hours.
Essential Functions:- Treats all information about residents, theircondition, and family as confidential
- Complies with established Corporate and Departmentalpolicies and procedures, maintaining established standards and practices
- Promotes and closes sales of independent living unitsto maintain high occupancy levels
- Assists with coordinating move-ins and preparing newresidents for their transition into the community
- Maintains knowledge of all residency agreements andexecutes contracts with residents
- Conducts market research and maintains updatedinformation on market trends and competition
- Engages with prospects, conducts tours, and explainsthe value and benefits of Homewood's independent living options
- Follows up on sales leads in a timely manner andensures all information is accurately documented in the lead management system
- Assists with the planning and execution of marketingevents, open houses, and special events, including occasional evening andweekend work
- Collaborates with the marketing team to develop andimplement strategies for maintaining high occupancy levels
- Understands and negotiates resident contractsaccording to Homewood's policies and regulatory requirements
- Assists with maintaining all records and informationassociated with marketing and sales
- Performs other duties as directed by the supervisor
Qualifications:- Minimum associate degree, bachelor's degreepreferred
- 3 - 5 years of successful sales and marketingexperience
- Proven experience with contract negotiationand product and service line market research
- Knowledge of professional sales and marketingstandards and techniques
- Professional-level writing, verbalcommunication, judgment, and reasoning
- Ability to execute value selling and understandpricing and product strategies
- Compassion, understanding, and empathy forolder adults
- Ability to close a sales agreement and guideresidents through the decision-making process
- Strong organizational, communication, andcustomer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, adjustpriorities, and manage time effectively
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Officeproduct suite, as well as Welcome Home, Salesforce, or a similar CRM system
- Conveys a professional image and canrepresent Homewood Retirement Centers well
Physical Requirements: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work requiresextensive work using a computer. This position has physical and mental aspectsof sedentary work in which lifting requirements are minimal. Occasionallyrequired to walk; use hands to manipulate, handle, or operate computers,objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Specific visionabilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjustfocus. This role may require occasional travel and participation in evening orweekend events.
